REMEMBERING LEE REMICK
MASSACHUSETTS HOMECOMING

Boston was Lee's first stop on a nation-wide publicity tour for the 1959 film, Anatomy of a Murder.

July 12th marked a day of public appearances for Lee, one of which included a "homecoming" luncheon honoring her and fellow-Bostonion, Joseph N. Welch, who was a fellow co-star in the movie Anatomy of a Murder.

At the luncheon, Massachusetts Governor, Foster Furcolo, presented Lee with a silver tray bearing the seal of the Commonwealth.

Hometown Quincy, Massachusetts' Mayor, Amelio Della Chiesa, presented Lee with a copy of "Historic Quincy."

The next stop on the tour for Lee was Philadelphia.
